Located to the northern bank of the Thames and within convenient reach of the City, Wapping historically had a strong maritime association due to its proximity to the river and the docklands.
The area was heavily regenerated in the 1980’s when a significant amount of the warehouses and riverfront buildings were converted into luxury flats. Wapping today has a vibrant atmosphere with Wapping High Street featuring a plethora of modern bars and restaurants residing alongside historical architecture such as Wapping Old Stairs and The Prospect of Whitby pub which backs onto the Thames.

The area is also home to the impressive St. Katherine Docks, a luxurious marina with shops, bars and restaurants situated next to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Wapping’s popularity is no doubt also associated with its convenient access to the City which can be reached within 2 miles. Canary Wharf is also within close proximity at approximately 2 miles distance.
